About me

Culture Cookies is an outlet for whatever’s on my mind, from World’s Fairs to social commentary. It’s a rather mixed bag—so you never know what you’ll see next. I started this blog back in 2010, when I was working as a management consultant. I spent a lot of time in spreadsheets and decks, but really missed long form writing. So I decided to start a blog.

14 years later, I still find joy here. Some years I publish tons, some I barely write anything at all. But I firmly believe that the role of a personal outlet is just that: It’s here for me, above all else. And as long as I find joy here, I plan to keep it going.

Professional experience

This site is all for fun, but I also work on websites professionally. I’m currently Editor in Chief for Pinterest Business, Pinterest’s global B2B marketing website. I’m responsible for all site content elements, including content strategy, editorial strategy and end-to-end content development. I also manage our SEO and keep a close eye on analytics… because what’s a business site without business impact?

Before Pinterest, I was VP of Strategy and Insights at Sterling Brands. That’s where I learned to turn massive amounts of research and business inputs into focused strategies and compelling narratives. It’s also where I learned more than I ever expected to know about some very specific business challenges, like innovating dog treats. I’m happy to tell you all about it. Years later, I still find it utterly fascinating.

Get in touch

Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss anything you see here, or just want to talk about dog treats. It’s easiest to message me on LinkedIn.
